My first encounter with Stig was at an indie hip hop night at The Social in London a couple of years ago. The whole thing had been a reminder of why I hardly ever go to indie hip hop nights anymore: boring mcs rapping with closed eyes about hip hop and battling and hip hop and battling and more of the same. Then Stig & Dr. Syntax got on stage and added some humour to the mix. They actually connected with the audience and really saved the night. To this day I’m still bumping Stig’s album Mood Swings on the regular and I’m really looking forward to the next album that he’s working on with Jehst.

Anyway, last year I met up with Stig in Finsbury Park, London for some snaps and about a week ago we had a long chat about food, rap, comedy and a few other things. Check out the whole interview over at www.trustinwax.de!
